A Bit About Me
I am a Clinical Psychologist committed to providing a warm, safe and therapeutic space. I am particularly passionate about supporting parents and families with children aged 0-5 and this is where I specialise in my NHS work.
I am trained in a range of approaches aimed at supporting people to overcome emotional and mental health difficulties including: Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Analytical Therapy Informed Approach (CAT-Informed) and many more. These approaches can help with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties and a range of other mental health difficulties.
I tend to use such approaches in an integrative way suited to a persons need. Therapy usually begins with a psychological assessment and formulation which can help us to make sense of your difficulties and create a tailored therapy plan.
I am also trained in a range of therapeutic approaches for perinatal mental health and early years therapeutic support. These include: Video Interaction Guidance (VIG), Circle of Security Parenting (COSP), CFT for postnatal depression, Incredible Years Preschool Basic and Incredible Years Baby Parenting. These approaches can support parents in building a secure parent-child relationship, feeling confident in their parenting, understanding their child's social and emotional needs and to understand and support their child's behaviour.
